Empowering Children: Nutrition, Health, and Safe Schools

Published:

National Children’s Day in Indonesia is more than just a yearly celebration. President Prabowo Subianto aims to use this day as a platform for taking real action to secure the future of the nation’s children. As Senior Expert at the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Dedek Prayudi mentioned three flagship programs launched by the government to directly impact the well-being of children: Nutritious Free Meals (MBG), Free Health Checkups (CKG), and School Revitalization. MBG ensures that children receive proper daily nutrition, addressing the issue of many school-aged children going to school without eating breakfast and suffering from anemia. The Free Health Checkups include various screenings to safeguard the health of students. Additionally, the School Revitalization Program aims to renovate over 11,000 schools to provide better learning facilities, especially in underdeveloped areas. President Prabowo has allocated significant funds in the national budget for this initiative. This program emphasizes the importance of ensuring a safe and dignified environment for all students to learn effectively.
